Well, I can encourage you in that I feel like this often!

How is the move, the new place, the family etc.? I am sure that you have plenty on your plate, hence the unfinished perspective.

We probably need to get together and have a coffee... We can commiserate more fully then.. :-)

There is a place where we will all find the "H" on the sign. HEAVEN. That's when we'll be finished.

Don't get down because everything you wanted to accomplish did not become a reality in what you are leaving behind. You did worlds of good for many, many people.

And most certainly the road ahead is bright and exciting. Everything you learned in the past, lessons both good and bad, now gets to be used in a positive way in your new adventure.

Few men your age have as much experience and knowledge already under their belts. You are well prepared for the next round of action.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I've been in school for 2 weeks now - working on this doctorate. I went to Baker Heights on Wed night and just felt depressed! We just have so much to do - school, the move, new church responsibilities, selling the house, buying a new house, figuring out where to live until September, driving a LOT, and the pain of leaving the familiar, including close friends. Plus - we have a new born in the house! I know, I'm whining when I should be rejoicing and counting my blessings.

It was good to see you last week. I know that you feel spread thin and it many ways hurts and frightens you the way things are going at Baker Heights now that you're gone but know that but you have touched a lot of lives. As I have told you often, I have had a lot of mentors in my life (including my home preacher who has been at that church my entire life) but when if I could model the way I do ministry off of someone it would be you. I am thankful for the blessing you have been and I am sure will continue to be to my life.

P.S. Can you email the stastics stuff we were talking about concerning Baker Heights? You can reach me either at das06h@acu.edu or ilovethelord4ever@homtail.com
