Thoughts

Well, well, well. Where have I been? In SA for three weeks, and playing catch-up since then. I have also given a lot of thought to the purpose of this blog. I wanted it to be a forum for me to express things that most people don't consider. Sometimes that's hard to do when you're a preacher. Plus, I've done a lot of soul-searching these 7 months that Holly has been pregnant. I still want to give "Jeffersonian" perspectives on the issues of the day, but the truth is that I have changed so much over the past year, I need to really consider what I believe about the issues of the day before jumping onto the blogging bandwagon. More than ever I am committed to "hostility towards every form of tyranny over the mind of man." The problem is that this upsets people. I also believe that "the truth will set you free." There are a lot of people whose minds are held captive by bad ideas that they have not thought through properly. Some of these people are dedicated, faithful Christians. I say this because my context is ministry. So, I will dig deep into the suitcase of courage, clear my mind, and add my voice - soon.
